Man released without charge following alleged racist incident involving Ebbsfleet United’s goalkeeper Nathan Ashmore

A football fan has been released without charge following an alleged racist incident involving Ebbsfleet United’s goalkeeper.

A 20-year-old man was alleged to have racially abused Fleet player Nathan Ashmore during the final minutes of Ebbsfleet versus Bromley on Boxing Day.

Ashmore confronted fans who were standing behind his goal before being given a yellow card by the referee for time wasting.

A 20-year-old man was released without charge after allegedly to have racially abused Ebbsfleet player, Nathan Ashmore.

The person from Biggin Hill was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence.
