Body believed to be missing man from Gravesend found at former Gravesend and North Kent hospital in New Road

Police searching for a missing 20-year-old man have confirmed a body has been found at a former hospital site.

The discovery was made by police at the old Gravesend and North Kent Hospital in Bath Street, Gravesend just before 5pm yesterday (Oct 17).

The man was confirmed deceased at the scene.

The family of 20-year-old Slavik Dubovskis, who went missing on Tuesday, has been informed.

Police and forensics were spotted at the site yesterday evening, and a private ambulance was seen leaving the scene.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: “Shortly before 5pm on Thursday, October 17, officers found the body of a man at a site in the New Road area of Gravesend.

“Formal identification has not yet taken place, but the family of a 20-year-old man from Gravesend, who was reported missing on Tuesday 15 October, have been informed.

“The death is not currently being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.”

A police appeal had been launched to help find Mr Dubovskis after he was last seen in the Ingoldsby Road area of Gravesend on Tuesday night.

Some of his last movements were captured on CCTV and police said they were concerned for his welfare.
