Ebbsfleet 1 Wrexham 0
Mark Ricketts fired his first goal for the Fleet after three seasons and more than 100 games to secure all three points against out-of-form Wrexham on Tuesday.
The 1-0 win at Stonebridge Road keeps alive the Fleet’s chances of a top-half finish in the Blue Square Premier.
Liam Daish recalled Jamie Stevens, Derek Duncan, Michael Gash and Luke Moore to the side for the visit of the Welsh side - managed by Dean Saunders.
Gash and Paul McCarthy went close before Gash limped off after 36 minutes to be replaced by Kezie Ibe.
After the break Lance Cronin - making his 150th appearance for the club - had to save brilliantly from Wrexham substitute Michael Proctor.
Ricketts’ (pictured) magic moment arrived after 65 minutes when he rode a tackle, burst towards the box, cut inside a defender and smashed the ball in off the underside of the bar from 20 yards.
Cronin was forced into further action and Ibe and Michael West went close at the other end before the final whistle, which left Fleet firmly in the fight for 11th spot, with two games remaining.
