Money from seized goods go towards Culverstone and Vigo Scout's home

A scout group is has received a donation from the Kent Police Property Fund.

The Culverstone and Vigo Scouts were presented with a cheque of £250 on Wednesday, March 14, from detective constable Clare Bourke from the Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate.

The money is to improve their Scout hut.

DC Bourke said: “The Scouts help young people undertake a large number of fun and exciting activities; it’s great to see those within the scouting movement having such a positive impact in the local community.

“I’m pleased that we have been able to support this excellent group.”

The Kent Police Property Fund raises money by selling items that have been seized during police operations.

These items are sold at auction and the proceeds given to charities and local organisations which benefit their communities.
