A mother of five has suffered "life changing" injuries in a jet ski accident in Turkey.

A fundraising page has been set up for Ashleigh Donnelly, 31, from Dover Road, Northfleet, to get her back to the UK for treatment.

Ashleigh, who was due to come back to England on Monday, has already racked up £4000 in medical bills.

She was riding on the back of a jet ski, when she fell off, was sucked under and then hit.

She was told that pressure of the impact was similar to being hit by concrete.

The mum was left with a seven inch by four inch laceration from her front to back and split her rectum in two.

Ashleigh also perforated her womb and bowel and was left with hundreds of stitches.

The mum of five had travel insurance but was told they do not cover extreme water sports.

Her sister, Stacie Louise Kelly, 30, from Sevenoaks, set up the GoFundMe page on Monday, and has raised £2,275.

She posted online, saying: "My beautiful sister has had the most horrific jet ski accident today in Marmaris, Turkey.

"This amazing woman has sustained life changing injuries that no woman could ever imagine going through, over 100 stitches are holding my sister back together.

"Her children nearly lost their mother and Ashleigh, her life.

"We need to get Ashleigh on medical transportation back to the UK equipped with a medical crew as soon as possible.

"This is estimated at £26,000. This is just the start, things will never be the same for her or her children and husband again but she will have more of a chance back in England."

Ashleigh's family and friends are doing a pub crawl tonight, starting at the Wings Bar, Park View Road, at 5:30pm to raise extra money for her hospital costs.
