Necklace robbery: Officers appeal for information following a reported robbery in Berkley Road, Gravesend

Officers are appealing for information following a reported robbery where a man allegedly targeted a woman from behind and ripped a necklace from her.

The incident occurred at around 1.55pm on Sunday, June 26, in Berkley Road, Gravesend.

It is reported that a 60-year-old woman was walking along the road when a man approached her from behind, pulled her necklace from her neck and ran away in the direction of Bernard Street.

The suspect is said to be a slim male, around 5ft 5ins tall and wearing a grey tracksuit with the hood up.

The victim was not injured in the incident. Her necklace was gold and said to be worth around £175.
