A popular cooking show was filmed in a Kent school last year.

The new series of Junior Bake Off was recorded at Cobham Hall in Brewers Road, Cobham, near Gravesend.

Similar to the adult Great British Bake Off, the junior version is for younger cooks and the iconic white tent was pitched in the grounds of the Grade I-listed building.

Sixteen bakers – aged nine to 15 – have been tackling a series of challenges judged by Liam Charles and Ravneet Gill.

Cobham Hall is home to an independent day and boarding school for girls aged 11-18, as well as a co-educational sixth form.

On their Facebook page, they said: "We're excited for the latest season of Junior Bake Off to begin, especially as it was filmed here at Cobham Hall.

"We will be eagerly waiting to see our beautiful grounds feature as the backdrop to this fantastic series.

"What a way to start off the new year!"

The country house has also previously been used for other famous films and TV shows.

Most recently it was featured in the highly-anticipated fifth season of Netflix's The Crown, which covers the reign of Queen Elizabeth II.

Back in the late 2000s, the building was the set of teen comedy film Wild Child, starring Emma Roberts, Alex Pettyfer, and the late Natasha Richardson.

Released in 2008, it tells the story of Poppy Moore – a wealthy, spoiled teenager from California who is admitted to a boarding school in England, where she soon learns the true meaning of life and friendship.

A former pupil recently spoke to KentOnline, recalling the time when she acted in the film at the age of 13.

Shots of the grounds have already been spotted in the new Bake Off trailer and throughout the initial episode which aired on Monday.

The school added: "We can't wait to see what the juniors will produce and who will be the first to be awarded the title of Star Baker."

Episodes of Junior Bake Off, hosted by Harry Hill, will air weekdays on Channel 4 at 5pm.
