Police investigate after two robbers attempt to steal elderly lady’s jewellery in Windmill Street, Gravesend

A pair of women tried stealing jewellery from a pensioner after she fell over.

The victim, a woman in her 80s, was walking in Windmill Street, Gravesend when she fell to the floor at around 11.30am last Monday (March 25).

While on the ground it was reported two women attempted to steal her jewellery but left empty-handed when she cried for help.

The suspects are described as being in their 30s around 5ft 5in and with dark-coloured hair.

Police are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them.
