A company pick-up truck was stolen last night and set on fire.

At around 9.30pm four men reportedly stole the silver truck belonging to Hireheat, who specialise in temporary boiler hire, from their yard at Oakleigh farm in Higham.

Owner Graham Kay said that the men towed it to the other end of the farm, removed the crane from the back and set fire to it.

He said: "We had one of our temporary boilers on the back which was supposed to go to a care home today in Croydon to support the heating and hot water."

The business was previously offering a £5,000 reward for the recovery of the vehicle, however found it in its current state this morning.
