A new playground for children in Hartley has opened.

Children are now able to enjoy swings, a climbing frame and slide, a roundabout, spinner and rocker.

Ella, 3, enjoys the playground.

The ribbon on the Woodland Avenue park was cut last Friday by Hartley Parish Council chairman Anne Oxtoby, amenities boss David Graeme and Hartley Community Group treasurer Lawrence Vessey.

Funding for the project was provided by Kent County Council, Sevenoaks District Council, Hartley Parish Council, the BIG Lottery Fund, and the recently-formed Hartley Community Group.

The local primary schools and Scout group were also involved in the project.
