A woman who was a Gravesend school pupil in the 1960s is appealing for pictures of an old hall in the borough.

Wombwell Hall, which used to be part of Gravesend Technical School, was demolished after fire tore through it.

Sandra is after photos of Wombwell Hall

Sandra Smith, who now lives in Norfollk, said: "In common with many other ex-pupils, I am seeking photographs of the hall in its heyday especially the sweeping cantilever staircase which would bring back many happy memories.

"I am therefore asking readers for any photographs, perhaps taken personally, of the staircase and equally the front view of the hall when the balconied, pillared front entrance was still there, before it was removed and replaced with a prefabricated cloakroom."

If anyone has any information they can contact Sandra on 01362 692061.
