Four police vehicles and a dog unit descended on a town centre.
They were seen in New Road, Gravesend, outside McDonald's and Costa just before 1pm.
More than half a dozen officers were at the scene, with a few talking to a man in handcuffs.
There was one van and two vehicles parked outside the fast food restaurant and another van parked in Princes Street near the entrance to St George's shopping centre.
Police have been contacted for further information.
More as we get it.
