There were severe delays on the A2 around Gravesend this morning following an accident.

Police were called just after 7am to the A2 London-bound just after the Pepperhill junction

Seven vehicles were involved in the crash.

Traffic was stopped while the vehicles were moved to the hard shoulder.

Traffic was then allowed to flow from about 7.30am but congestion remained throughout the morning.

Minor injuries were reported of those involved in the crash but it is not yet known how many people were injured.
