X Factor star Tamera Foster struggled to gain the public vote during this year’s show, it has been revealed.
Voting statistics for the full run of the hit show have been revealed by ITV.
It comes after Bexley prison guard, and former North West Kent College student, Sam Bailey was crowned the winner on last night’s show.
The stats show Sam Bailey was regularly the number one performer, missing out just three times in 10 weeks to Nicholas McDonald, also in Sunday’s final.
North West Kent College student Tamera’s first week on the show back in October saw her gain 4.9% of the public flash vote.
This compares to ultimate winner and number one seeded Sam Bailey’s 23.4%.
On the Sunday evening results that week, the 16-year-old gained 5.1%, compared to first place Nicholas McDonald’s 23.5%.
Her second week saw things improve with 9.4% with the flash vote and 9.2% on Sunday.
The third week saw her slip to 7.7% in the flash vote, putting her fourth in the table of performers. Sam Bailey continued to win the public’s attention with 27%.
Week four saw Tamera placed in the bottom two. She received the lowest number of public votes with 4.7%. Kingsland Road were booted out, despite getting 5.2%.
Week five saw a positive boost for Tamera who got 10% of the public vote, but she still struggled against Nicholas McDonald’s 20.2% and Sam Bailey’s 28.4%.
In week six, Tamera scraped through with 8.4%, narrowly missing the bottom two by 0.4%.
In week seven the gap narrowed even further when Tamera received 9.3% of the vote compared to eliminated Hannah Barrett’s 9.1%.
Week eight was the end of the road for Tamera. She received just 8.5% of the public vote and was eliminated from the show.
By comparison, Luke Friend received 19.3%, Rough Copy 19.7%, Nicholas McDonald 25.1% and Sam Bailey 27.4%.
But it's not the end for Tamera.
She is now preparing for the X Factor Live tour which gets underway in February and remains tipped to be a big star.
Gary Barlow told her during the show: “I wonder if we fast-forward five years, looking back, I think you may possibly be the most successful contestant from this year.
"I think you’re going to have a massive career in front of you.”
