n attempted robber who made haste in a stolen car was arrested - after the vehicle was equipped with a tracker system.

The white Mercedes convertible was taken last night from an address in Gravesend, however, the vehicle was soon traced after police honed in on coordinates.

the National Police Air Service (NPAS) said in a tweet this morning: "Vehicle equipped with @Tracker_UK stolen in a robbery in #Gravesend. #Teamwork between @MetTaskforce dogs, @NPASLondon, local @MPSBexley officers, @kent_police and ourselves ensured the vehicle was located soon after the offence and the victim is now getting their car back."

Police have been approached for more details.
