Swanley man arrested after police swoop on suspected drug deal

A Swanley man was arrested after police swooped on a suspected drug deal in Chatham.

Officers in plain clothes spotted a suspected drug deal taking place near the band stand in Jackson Fields, Chatham, at around 9.55am on Tuesday December 10.

A subsequent search of the area resulted in a mobile phone and 25 wraps, suspected to be crack cocaine and heroin, being seized the officers.

Following enquiries, Rhys Pick, of Fens Way, Swanley was arrested and charged with two counts of possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

The 23-year-old was remanded in custody to appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court today.
