Famous performers head to the Woodville in Gravesend to celebrate its 50th birthday

Famous comedians and performers are heading to the theatre for its 50th birthday.

Star of the The Last Leg, funny man Josh Widdicombe will be at The Woodville, Gravesend, to celebrate five decades next Thursday, November 15.

He will be hosting the evening of entertainment with theatre regular Ant Payne.

The 15-strong Joe Ringer Band will be playing a mix of hits from the past 50 years as well as being joined by Britain’s Got Talent runners-ups Twist and Pulse.

Theatre manager Mandy Hare said: “We have had such an amazing year of birthday celebrations so far.

“We have offered free cinema to anyone that lives in Gravesend and is sharing their 50th birthday with us, kids that have been born in Gravesend during 2018 have become “Woodville Babies” and have been presented with the opportunity to attend the theatre for free until they are 18.

Twist and Pulse will also be performing

“We’ve had some great shows and given away prizes and gifts throughout the year too.

"There has even been a Woodville wedding, where a lucky couple were able to renew their vows and celebrate with us, free of charge.”
