Two men arrested after lorry driver robbed near Cyclopark in Gravesend

Two men have been arrested after a lorry driver was robbed this morning.

Police were called to Watling Street, near the Cyclopark, in Gravesend to the incident.

Spokesman for the police, Vicki Foster, said: "Police were called at 8.08am on October 3 to a report of a robbery having taken place in Watling Street, Gravesend, where a lorry driver was reported to have been robbed by two men.

"Officers have since arrested two men on suspicion of robbery and they remain in custody at this time."

As a result the lorry was stranded and blocked entrance to the centre car park.

A member of Toddler Twist, a dance group for mothers and toddlers posted on their Facebook page they had to mount the grass verge.

The post said: "If you're coming to Toddler Twist this morning there's a small matter of a massive lorry blocking the entrance to the car park.

"They can't move it because the driver has no keys."
