Founder Peter Scutts said: “The mental health crisis we are experiencing in our young people is everyone’s responsibility, they are our future generation and we need to invest in their wellbeing.

“Our work has reached the hearts of the local community and demonstrated the huge impact we can make in our own community – no waiting lists, no delays.

“We are truly honoured to be recognised by these awards. The awards money will help us fund and facilitate counselling for more young people in 2025.”

According to EHMF, 91% of people who self-refer have not been able to find support else with some waiting for up to three years.

The organisation aims to provide funding for one-to-one private talking therapy for vulnerable young people aged between 13 and 18 living in the borough.

The winners of the awards will be announced on November 28 and will receive £5,000. Runners-up will be awarded £1,000.
