Detectives have released this image of a man they would like to talk to after a woman fell victim to a thieving conman.

A man claiming to be from a water company called at a home in Nine Elms Grove, Gravesend, at 1pm on Friday, July 4.

He was confronted by the woman who lived there when she found him looking around her front room.

He jumped out of the window to get away and then the woman realised £30 had been stolen from her purse.

The suspect is described as between 20 and 24, 5ft 2in, of slim build with dark brown hair and wrinkles.

He is also believed to have a foreign accent.
