Can you match the break dancing stylings of George Sampson?
If you’ve got talent and want to show it off, this could be your ultimate chance.
For all of you who enjoyed ITV’s Britian’s Got Talent, you are now in for a bigger treat as a fantastic competition comes to the borough this summer - Gravesham Has Talent.
The spectacular contest, put together by Woodville Halls and Tom Swift, who played the loveable Wishee Washee at last year’s pantomime Aladdin and His Magical Lamp, will be offering the borough’s finest stars the chance of a lifetime.
Whether singing is your forte or you simply play the spoons, the competition winner will receive both a cash prize and a professional contract with top theatre agency Emma Sharnock Associates (ESA Ltd) .
A fantastic opportunity which shouldn’t be missed, according to 23-year-old Tom Swift.
He said: “A lot of people fight to get an agent’s contract so this is an amazing opportunity. Whether you are in a dance troop or just like to perform on your own this could be your chance to shine on stage.”
All age groups are invited to attend an audition at the Woodville Halls in Windmill Street on Sunday, June 22.
Acts must first register and book their audition slot.
Theatre manager Graham Long, 39, said: “After 40 years of fun and laughter at the theatre we hope to see a lot of new talented people who can carry on with the tradition. Whatever your talent we want to see you.”
The audition panel are hoping to select between 12 and 16 acts to perform at the final on Saturday, August 2.
Aaron Sidwell, famous for playing Stephen Beale in EastEnders will be judging the final acts as well as performing with his band Bitter Conflict .
He will be joined on the judging panel by Gravesend Messenger editor Denise Eaton, Emma Sharnock from ESA Ltd and theatre producer John Martin, who is expected to slip into Simon Cowell’s shoes for the evening.
