The incident happened at around 5pm and witnesses say two people were arrested at the scene.

Police have been contacted by KentOnline but have not yet confirmed any details.

Gravesend was particularly busy yesterday with crowds attending the Riverside Festival.

A dispersal order was also in place targetting anti-social behaviour and will remain in place untill midday tomorrow (Monday July 3).

The order includes areas around Gravesend Promenade, as well as Milton Place, Ordnance Road, Canal Road and Canal Basin.

It comes after a teenager was charged following a large disturbance in Gordon Promenade East, off Canal Road, last Friday (June 21) which left two people with slash wounds.

Anybody who wishes to report instances of anti-social behaviour should report it online via the Kent Police website. If a crime is in progress, please don’t hesitate to call 999.
