A man has been arrested following a car crash on Saturday night.

Police attended Home Gardens in Dartford shortly after 11pm following reports of a speeding motorist driving recklessly through the town centre.

The driver is alleged to have sped away when approached by police.

It is believed the car crashed into three or four other vehicles and a garden wall before coming to stop in Main Road in Longfield, near the Railway Tavern pub.

The 24-year-old, from the West Kingsdown area, was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, burglary and a public order offence.

He has since been released under investigation.
