A man has been arrested after a woman had to be taken to hospital after being hit by an e-scooter.
Police and paramedics were called to Gravesend town centre yesterday (May 4) to reports of a crash involving a pedestrian and rider.
Stone Road was closed to traffic near the McDonald’s just before 1pm while the woman was treated for injuries. She was then taken to a local hospital for further medical attention.
The rider of the electric scooter had left before patrols arrived.
Later the same day a local man in his 20s was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs, failing to stop at the scene of a collision, dangerous driving, disqualified driving and driving without insurance.
He was bailed to return to the police pending further investigation.
