Three people – including a 14-year-old boy – have been arrested in connection with a robbery.
The arrests come after a woman was robbed of her handbag in a terrifying incident in Gravesend.
Police were called just after 5.40pm on Monday, October 22 to a report of a robbery in Hillside Avenue involving a female employee from the Post Office on The Parade in Valley Drive.
The woman had walked to her car in Hillside Avenue and after she got in and tried to start the engine, a man jumped in the passenger side and another in the back seat.
She thought the man in the front seat was holding a knife and, after a brief struggle, the pair ran off towards Valley Drive with her bag. The victim suffered minor cuts to her hand.
Police have now arrested a 14-year-old boy and a 21-year-old man, both from Gravesend, on suspicion of robbery. Both have been bailed until December 10.
A 19-year-old woman from Gravesend has been arrested on suspicion of handling stolen goods and has been bailed until the same date.
Police are still appealing for witnesses to come forward and have released the description of a man they would like to speak to.
He is black, in his 20s with very short black hair and was wearing a blue hooded anorak.
