An unattended bag left in a bank caused concern among shoppers in Gravesend today.

Police were sent to Lloyds Bank in New Road at around midday after the bag was spotted by a member of the public.

However, when police attended, it turned out to contain nothing more than personal belongings and was later claimed back by its owner.

Police have now left.
