Lloyds Banks in Gravesend has been closed for the rest of the day after a disturbance broke out.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of assault after police were called to reports of a person being abusive and damaging property.
He is said to have been subdued with pepper-spray before being taken into custody.

A police car is parked outside and large sheets of paper have been put up in the windows, blocking the view.
One member of staff is stood outside the branch in New Road telling customers it is closed.
One eyewitness said: "I was told a man was in there causing a bit of a kerfuffle and trying to smash up the bank, and he was pinned to the floor."
The cash machines are still in use.
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police was called to a disturbance at a premises in New Road, Gravesend, at 1.14pm on Thursday 13 April 2017.
"It was reported that a man was damaging property and being abusive to people inside the building.
"Officers attended the scene and the man has been arrested on suspicion of assault.
"He is currently being taken into custody and inquiries are ongoing."
It is understood the bank has been closed because pepper spray was used and now the building needs to be cleaned.
A Lloyds Bank spokesman said: “We can confirm there was an incident at the Gravesend New Road branch earlier today and police are currently investigating. The branch will re-open on Saturday, after tomorrow’s planned Bank Holiday closure."
