Ebbsfleet United returned to winning ways and kept themselves in the Blue Square South promotion play-off chase with a 2-1 win at Basingstoke Town.
Liam Daish's side were forced to come from behind and were indebted to Ricky Shakes' (pictured) brace to fire them to a welcome away win.
Basingstoke took the lead from Greg Draper's goal on 32 minutes. Matt Warner's long-range effort was saved by Fleet goalkeeper Preston Edwards, but Draper was first to respond when the ball went loose.
But, Ebbsfleet were behind for less than a minute as straight from the restart Ricky Shakes equalised. That was the only real goalmouth action in an otherwise quiet first half.
There was little else to wake the crowd up in the second half until Shakes found the net again on 75 minutes. Ryan Blake's ball in was found by Shakes in the area, who did just enough to squeeze it past the goalkeeper and put the visitors ahead.
Ebbsfleet remain in fourth, four points inside the play-off places.
