A man found dead in a Gravesend park has been named as 41-year-old Piotr Binkowski and it is believed he hanged himself.
A huge emergency services response was triggered when the Polish builder was found "unresponsive" in St Andrew's Gardens on Thursday afternoon.
Family and friends have paid tribute to the popular man and expressed their shock at his death.
He was discovered behind the Clarendon Hotel, it was revealed at a hearing at Maidstone's Archbishop's Palace today.
Mr Binkowski, who was believed to be a father, was single and living in Gravesend.
A postmortem examination gave the cause of his death as hanging.
Posting on Mr Binkowski's Facebook page, which has been turned into a place to pay tribute, Michel Vlastuin wrote: "We will NEVER FORGET you."
Andrzej Rogowski said: "Condolences to the whole family."
Magdalena Cieslinska wrote: "Still don't believe it."
Mark Page posted: "So sad, what a lovely gentleman. He will be missed x."
The inquest was adjourned to a later date.
