Niamh Manley raises hundreds for Ellenor in memory of late grandfather

A youngster has paid tribute to her late grandfather by raising hundreds of pounds for charity.

Niamh Manley, 15, lost grandad John to a brain tumour last year, with hospice charity ellenor taking care of him during the final weeks of his life.

To say thank-you, Niamh fulfilled an ambition she had with her grandad to make calendars and sell them for charity.

“This calendar was something we had been planning to do together, including my photography and his paintings,” she said.

“When he became too ill, I decided to continue the calendar by myself and dedicated it to him.”

All 200 calendars were sold and raised £750, which will all be donated to ellenor.”

Niamh handed over the cheque during an assembly at Mayfield Grammar School, Gravesend, with the money to be used to help families facing terminal illness.
