Ebbsfleet's winless streak extended to nine matches as they went down to a 4-0 Blue Square South defeat at Cambridge United on Saturday.
The hosts broke the deadlock in the third minute of first half stoppage-time when Courtney Pitt was on hand to head Chris Holroyd's cross in from close range.
The game was effectively put beyond the Fleet eight minutes into the second period when Holroyd netted from the penalty spot after Gavin Heeroo was adjudged to have fouled Pitt in the box.
Cambridge got their third 10 minutes from time when Robbie Wilmott netted after being found by Pitt.
The hosts added even more gloss to the scoreline in added time when Danny Crow curled home from the edge of the box after Lee Phillips's cross had come back off the crossbar.
Ebbsfleet offered little going forward and perhaps their best chance fell to Luis Cumbers early on but his effort was saved by Danny Potter.
Fleet: Cronin, Heeroo (Ginty 69), Crooks, McCarthy, Charles, Wills, Shulton (West 55), Holmes (Abbey 90), Welsh, Shakes, Cumbers. Subs not used: Lamprell, Salmon.
