Could a new anthem written by a van driver take England to glory in the World Cup?
We're Going All The Way is the first effort from Working Class, aka Greg Laker from Gravesend, a former city worker turned van driver, who wrote and recorded the song simply to prove to his wife Carly that he could.
But Greg hasn't just impressed his wife and daughters Emily and Lexi – with more than 10,000 views on YouTube the song has proved a hit with family, friends and listeners around the world, despite the fact Greg admits: "I know I can't sing."
Dad-of-two Greg, 44, from Riverview Park, explained how the song first came to life.
"I went to watch Ebbsfleet against Leyton Orient and we were sat next to the band, which I complained about at first, but then I was addicted," he recalled.
"They were playing this one song called Allez Allez Allez – it's a Liverpool song but they transferred it to Ebbsfleet.
"I got it stuck in my head and changed the words to be about my dog, which drove my wife crazy.
"She shouted at me and said you keep saying you're going to write a World Cup song, so I went in the garden and came back two minutes later with two songs."
Although he'd never had recording experience before, Greg was convinced to have a session at a studio, before copyright issues led them to re-record it in neighbour Joe's back garden studio – with Greg singing and another friend Chris playing guitar.
"It's not the sort of thing I would do normally," added Greg. "I can't go for the big notes.
"I know I can't sing, but I can write songs. No one else was putting themselves forward for it so I had to take the plunge.
"We recorded it and the rest is history."
Now released on all the major streaming channels, We're Going All The Way by Working Class, has struck a chord with listeners, and Greg has won praise from people around the world. But he said it was praise from his family that meant the most.
"It's not bad for someone who doesn't know what they're doing," he added. "Quite a lot of friends have shared it quite widely, and I've even had people from Australia commenting and saying they love it.
"I keep getting videos from people showing their kids dancing to it, and they even played it at my daughter's school for their World Cup lunch on Friday. She cried and said she loved it.
"It was worth doing it just to see how happy she was and to see the other kids dancing.
"If we go deeper into the tournament, you never know, it might make a couple of quid.
"I might even be able to afford to put the heating on for a bit."
