A crowd gathered as this Mercedes burst into flames at Bluewater this morning.

Firefighters were called when the car went up in smoke at just before 10am.

Shoppers watched helplessly in the car park at the Greenhithe shopping centre while the vehicle burned.

A crew from Kent Fire and Rescue Service left the scene at just before 10.20am.

There were no reported injuries.
