A car ended up on its roof following a crash which prompted lengthy queues on the school-run.

The vehicle was upside down on the side of Thong Lane, near Cascades Leisure Centre in Gravesend, this morning.

It caused long tailbacks as parents attempted to drop their children at nearby Thamesview School.

It had been there since Friday.

A spokesman for the police said: “We were called at 8.38am on Friday, 4 October to a report of a collision involving three vehicles in Thong Lane, Gravesend.

“Officers attended and one person was taken to hospital as a precaution.”
