Two adults treated for shock after car collides with Echo Supermarket in Cross Lane East, Gravesend

Two pensioners escaped serious injuries when the car they were travelling in hit a supermarket in Gravesend.

Police, fire and ambulance crews were called to Echo Supermarket in Cross Lane East yesterday at 2.30pm.

The elderly duo were treated for shock after the car mounted the pavement and hit the store, causing damage to the door, window and shutters.

The road was closed temporarily as emergency services made the scene safe.
