A man accused of attempted murder after he allegedly drove a car into a packed nightclub failed to appear in court today.
Mohammed Abdul, 21, was expected to be produced at Maidstone Crown Court in Kent by prison staff so that he could enter his plea.
But Judge Adele Williams was told that HMP Belmarsh in Woolwich, south east London, was unable to transport him due to staff shortages.
Abdul first appeared at the same court on Monday via TV link with the prison for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
But technical issues prevented him from hearing the proceedings and it had to be adjourned.
Judge Williams therefore ordered that he be brought to court for the hearing to take place today.
However, she informed prosecution and defence counsel that "despite her best efforts", it again had to be delayed.
Abdul is alleged to have driven a Suzuki Vitara into Blake's nightclub in Queen Street, Gravesend, Kent, just before midnight on Saturday, March 17.
At least 13 people suffered injuries including a dislocated knee, broken shin bone, dislocated pelvis, cuts and bruises.
Abdul, of McMillan Street, Deptford, south east London, was arrested at the scene and charged with the attempted murder of teenager Katie Wells and 'other persons'.
A trial has already been fixed to start on September 18 but Judge Williams said it may be brought forward to September 10. It is expected to last two weeks.
She also said a further case management hearing would be held on June 1.
Prosecutor Simon Taylor said CCTV would be 'illustrative' in the case.
The incident occurred at the nightclub shortly before Grime rap artist Giggs was due to perform.
Miss Wells, 18, who lives in Gravesend, was the most seriously injured. She suffered a broken pelvis and was taken to King's College Hospital in London for treatment.
She is now home and earlier this month released a statement in which she thanked staff at the nightclub for their help and support, as well as family, friends and well-wishers.
