A FIRE which destroyed a car is thought to have been started deliberately.

The Rover was found in Singlewell Road, Gravesend at 11pm on Friday night.

Crews from Thames-side were at the scene for about 30 minutes extinguishing the flames.

There were no reported injuries.

A firefighter for Thames-side, said: "It was possibly a suspected malicious ignition as no-one else was in the area."
