A man suspected of burgling a house two months ago is appearing in court today.
Police officers received a report a car had been stolen overnight after the keys were taken from inside a home in St Chad’s Drive, Gravesend, on April 28.
A bank card that was in the vehicle was then allegedly used, but declined, at a shop in Watling Street.
The stolen car was later found by police patrols in Truro Road.
Detectives investigated, looked at CCTV footage and yesterday (June 21) arrested a suspect.
Liam Wells, of St Albans Gardens, Gravesend, was later charged with burglary and fraud.
The 29-year-old was remanded to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court today (June 22).
Update: He was remanded to next appear at Woolwich Crown Court on July 20.
