Cheryl Fergison has made it through to the final of ITV’s Your Face Sounds Familiar.
She now stands to win £50,000 for chYps, a charity part of EllenorLions Hospice based in Dartford that provides hospice care in the homes of seriously ill babies, children and young adults across Kent.
The former EastEnders star's performance of Material Girl by Madonna, in the show’s semi-final on Saturday night, saw her join other contestants Alexander Armstrong, Matt Johnson and Natalie Anderson in the last stage of the competition.
In a glamorous performance, the actress donned a bright pink ball gown and blonde wig for her rendition of the Queen of Pop’s eighties hit single.
Despite a lukewarm review from judge Emma Bunton, audiences voted in their droves for the ChYps Hospice supporter as she beat Bobby Davro and Denise Lewis to reach the final four.
The day after the semi-final, Cheryl, who will hope to wow audiences again as she dresses up as pop superstar Cher, tweeted: “Back at work already starting on me Cher. So pleased to be in the final but thought Bobby and Denise were fantastic. It’s a team.”
