A paedophile who sexually abused two young girls in “depraved and wicked offences” has been jailed for just over 17 years.
Under the extended sentence, Ashley Wright will be on licence for a further eight years - the maximum that can be imposed.
A judge said he was passing the sentence because the risk was “dynamic and high”.
The 29-year-old pervert, of Shiers Avenue, Dartford, will have to serve two thirds of the 17 years and two months term before he can be considered for parole.
He admitted 12 offences of rape, two of sexual assault of a child, one of causing a child to engage in sexual activity, one of causing a child to watch a sexual act and three of possessing indecent photographs of a child.
Prosecutor John Causer told Maidstone Crown Court on Friday that as well as the abuse Wright took indecent photos of one of the girls.
In the pictures found on his mobile phone when he was arrested the girl was naked below the waist.
“These were depraved and wicked offences. They have done terrible harm to the victims and their families...” - Judge Charles Macdonald QC
Mr Causer said Wright, who also used to live in New Ash Green, showed the girls pornography including sex with animals. He used one of the girls as “a sexual target”.
Wright’s ex-wife told of him being a womaniser and obsessed with pornography.
When arrested, Wright admitted he had been on a website called Fab Swingers.
Susan Meek, defending, said the only mitigation was the guilty pleas.
“They are the most heinous crimes committed against children,” she said. “He is willing to have treatment and will apply for any courses to stop offending in future.”
Judge Charles Macdonald QC said Wright had a lack of insight into his offending and a lack of true remorse.
“It is not a life sentence case but I will pass an extended sentence in relation to the rapes,” he said.
The victims were vulnerable, he said, because of their young age. Wright threatened one of the girls not to report him.
The judge told Wright: “These were depraved and wicked offences. They have done terrible harm to the victims and their families.”
Wright’s name will be on the sex offenders’ register and a sexual offences prevention order was made, both indefinitely.
