Child stabbing suspect in dock

A MAN accused of stabbing a child in a Kent town appeared in court on Friday.

Daljit Singh, 28, of Old Road East, Gravesend, spoke briefly to confirm his name.

It is alleged he caused grievous bodily harm and attempted grievous bodily harm in Gravesend on October 7 last year.

The hearing was, however, adjourned for six weeks to enable the Crown Prosecution Service to consider a psychiatric report.

Singh was remanded into the custody of the Trevor Gibbens Unit in Maidstone until June 30.
