An 18-year-old has brought Christmas celebrations to a village a month before the big day.
Luke Palmer, from Istead Rise, has set up a festive-themed display for the sixth year in a row after being inspired by his neighbours decorations as a child.
Luke, who suffered at the hands of bullies while in primary school, would forget about the trials and tribulations he faced when he saw the massive display a few doors down from his home.
After his neighbours stopped putting up the extravagant setting, Luke decided to take the reins and now spends all year planning his festive scene.
He said: "I am obsessed by Christmas. All year round I'm constantly planning my display, considering what new decorations to buy, or what colour theme I will be going for. I just love Christmas, it is my life.
"I do my display for the exact same reason my neighbours did; to bring a smile to the children's faces.
"I usually achieve 100% of the display myself but this year I had two family members to help me get the sleigh and reindeer on the roof."
"The display is part of my childhood and I firmly believe it puts a smile on others faces – both children and adults – especially this year with the current pandemic."
