Staff at college campuses around the county have voted to go on strike as they fight for a pay rise.
Workers at North Kent College, which has campuses in Tonbridge, Dartford and Gravesend, were balloted by their union last month as part of an ongoing pay row.
The University and College Union (UCU) is demanding for urgent action to be taken to ensure the staff at all three campuses see their pay increase to help them meet soaring levels of inflation and the cost-of-living crisis.
Following a vote, its members at the college decided they will be striking during the 2023/24 academic year.
A UCU spokesman said: “Following a successful ballot where over 90% of members that took part voted for industrial action, we will be preparing for strikes in the new academic year.
“There is still time for management to avoid disruption and come back to the table with a proper pay offer."
The vote had a ballot turnout of 74% with 93% of people voting in favour of strike action.
A spokesman for North Kent College said: “The college remains open to future discussions with UCU representatives in respect of affordable proposals.”
The dates when staff will walk-out have not yet been confirmed.
