Comedian Joe Pasquale has added his support to a campaign to stop greenbelt land being earmarked for housing.
More than 130 people came out for a picnic protest on Meopham Green in wintry sunshine on Saturday to show their concerns over the plans, which involve building up to 900 homes, in the Gravesham area.
Comedian Joe Pasquale, who lives in Higham, added his voice to the clamour of protest.
He said: “I completely agree with and support the sentiments of the residents and action groups in the borough who are opposing the proposals for green belt development being made by Gravesham council.”
