Windows and doors smashed at Gravesham Civic Centre and Woodville Halls Theatre, in Windmill Street, Gravesend

The windows and doors of a council building and theatre have been smashed for a second time in under a year.

The Gravesham Civic Centre, in Windmill Street, Gravesend, is thought to have been attacked a few weeks ago.

The windows and sliding doors at the front and back of the building have been hit, smashing and cracking the glass.

Members of the public said it looked as though they had been broken with a hammer but this has not been confirmed.

The premises are home to Gravesham Borough Council and are used by many members of the public.

They are also shared by The Woodville cinema and theatre complex.

In October, the building was also vandalised in the same way with around 40 “smashes” being counted, totalling £30,000 worth of damage.

It is not yet known who carried out this series of attacks.

Gravesham council and police have been contacted for further information.
