The discount grocery and homeware store isn't most people's idea of a romantic setting, but that didn't stop Ann Russell proposing to her partner at the B&M shop in Gravesend.
And this marriage is sure to have a long life, as Ann proposed in the battery section.
Care assistant Ann, 48, got down on one knee in the aisles of B&M last year and is now heading for a different kind of aisle after her now fiancé, Robin, said yes.
B&M staff captured the moment as partner Robin, 52, accepted a ring while clutching a frying pan he'd picked up at the shop.
Ann, from Dartford, said: "We both just love B&Ms, we go to the Gravesend store every week and leave with all kinds of stuff in our bags.
"I had not long bought the ring when we popped into B&Ms for our weekly shop. The atmosphere in there is lovely and the staff are really friendly so I asked one of the ladies if I could propose to Robin in store.
"It just felt like the right moment, it was perfect."
Robin, 52, said: "I was completely shocked when I walked into B&Ms for a frying pan and came out with a fiancée."
B&M Gravesend store manager, Carl Russell, said: "When Ann asked us if she could propose I wasn’t sure if I was hearing things, we’re used to people finding bargains in the store, not love, but obviously I agreed she could.
"It was a special moment to witness and I’m really happy we could play a part in it – we all can’t wait for the wedding now!"
The couple were friends when they were ten years old but as they got older they unfortunately lost contact - until one day nine years ago when they bumped into each other and Robin asked Ann out.
The pair plan to get married on July 15 2017 surrounded by their family, friends, and staff from B&M.
