Young lovers tied the knot in a mammoth wedding featuring enough bridesmaids, ushers and pageboys to fill two football teams.

After Sarah Hunter and Billy Stokes, both 20, announced their engagement, family and friends rapidly signed themselves up to be part of the big day.

Sarah, who is one of four siblings and 27 grandchildren, said: "I didn't actually ask anyone to be a bridesmaid, they all just asked, 'So what colour will our dresses be?'"

The happy couple, of Eynsford Road, Greenhithe, lined up with four ushers, nine pages, and 14 bridesmaids, who all made it to the service on time.
