A car and a motorcycle crashed on one of Gravesend's busiest roads.

Police and ambulance crews were called to Rochester Road at 1.23pm this afternoon.

SECAmb took the motorcycle rider, a man believed to be in his 40s, to Darent Valley Hospital.

Police remain at the scene but the road is now open.

The man's injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
