Crash helpers sought by police

Police are appealing for two men who helped at a serious crash last night to come forward.

The two - one white, the other of Asian appearance - were in a white van and may hold key information about the crash on Main Road, Longfield Hill.

The police are also hoping others may be able to give them information to piece together what happened when a black Ford Mondeo left the road, went down an embankment and smashed into a tree.

The driver, a 32-year-old from the Longfield area, was eventually helped out of the wreck by rescuers from Thamesside Fire and Rescue.

He was rushed to the Kings College Hospital in London with sertious injuries and is in intensive care.
