A community festival featuring Brazilian carnival music, Bhangra dancing and various street acts returned for a second year.
Hundreds of residents turned out for the event in Platinum Jubilee Park, Ebbsfleet Garden City, which featured music, food, dancing and family themed activities.
The family focused health and wellbeing festival was hosted by Cohesion Plus on Saturday (July 8) in partnership with Ebbsfleet Development Corporation and featured free activities.
For children there was face painting, dance and sport workshops, and pirates and princesses.
A life-size mechanical elephant called Harminder also roamed the scenes.
Artistic Director of Cohesion Plus, Gurvinder Sandher said: “We are so incredibly proud of what we were able to achieve.
“Temperatures were high and even the short spell of intense rain couldn’t stop everyone from coming down to be entertained by the amazing line up of artists, activity and food we had on offer today.”
There were performances by Brazilian carnival musician Bloco Fogo Samba, Bhangra dance group, Dancing Maharajas, and various street acts.
Visitors were also able to enjoy a spread of international cuisine and baked goods.
Also in attendance were Deputy Lieutenant Rosemary Dymond, Mayor of Dartford Cllr Roseanna Curran and leader of Dartford Borough Council, Cllr Jeremy Kite MBE.
“We are very thankful to the local residents who came out and supported us. We are grateful to our partners Ebbsfleet Development Corporation for all their support and encouragement.
“We really hope to put on another Fusion Festival next year as well as other events throughout the year,” said Gurvinder.
